Pumpkin by Helena Ligthart, Adalyn Raney, Miriam Shteyman

Pumpkins are Halloween fun,
They are good for everyone.

They are orange, yellow, and green.
They give hope to Halloween.

Kids in costumes come on by,
Dreaming of sweet pumpkin pie.

Competitions will be held,
The name of the winning pumpkin will be yelled.

Now nears the end of Halloween,
It’s been the best one we have ever seen.

But my seeds shall soon be eaten,
And my Jack o Lantern friends be beaten,

For the end of Halloween will play,
Happy Pumpkin Smashing Day!

Heavenly Kids by Helena Ligthart, Adalyn Raney, Miriam Shteyman

Heavenly kids are stars in the sky.
They are gems,
they are diamonds that sparkle and shine.
High in the sky they lead us,
giving brightness to our night,
giving light to those who need it.
Our heavenly kids are always with us.
They are above us,
always watching over us.
They twinkle as though they are saying goodnight,
as we all fall asleep with their light.
Heavenly kids forever in our hearts,
never forgotten,
never
apart.

Bleeding Souls by Miriam Shteyman

I look up into the sky and see,
A tornado of bleeding souls that is
following
me.
The souls haunt me in my dreams,
they bring tears to my eyes
and make me
scream.
They cry about their losses,
for those who die
young or old.
They weep about their sorrows for those
who have no water to drink or
food to eat.
They sob for those that suffer the
pain of neglect.
Their souls bleed because there is so much wrong
in our world.
So much killing and
cheating and
lying.
And pain so, so much pain.
There soul bleeds for you.
They mourn the dead,
They help the new from all that is wrong.
My soul bleeds for those who are sick.
My soul bleeds for those who cry.
My soul bleeds for all those that don’t have the same
choices as me.
Because I am the tornado of bleeding souls,
and my soul bleeds for all those who have
pain
in their life.

Interview with Hillary Clinton By Helena Ligthart, Adalyn Raney, Miriam Shteyman

Global Daily Hotwire Q: Why did you choose P’Lod as your running mate?

Hillary Clinton A:  I choose P’Lod as my running mate because I believe that he is a good choice and will help my fulfill my goals for The United States of America. He has helped the United States Government for a while and I believe that he will help even more with this position. After all, he was born as a United States citation from immigrant of another universe! We understand each other! Can’t you see! Are you blind! We are two puzzle pieces that just fit!?

Global Daily Hotwire Q: What are your goals for America?  How will they help this country succeed?

Hillary Clinton A: My main goals are to strengthen the economy and American family’s lives.  They need the government to be on their side when they are in need of help.  This is why I choose P’Lod to be my running mate.  He is dedicated to help Americans anyway he can.

Global Daily Hotwire Q: How do you think that Americans feel about having an Alien in office, especially when you two have had an unprofessional relationship?

Hillary Clinton A: (THINK) Well I assume that Americans are skeptical.  It is an uncommon situation, but however, Donald Trump also has an Extraterrestrial Species as his running mate.  So Americans are really going to have to choose which candidate is the better option.

Global Daily Hotwire Q: Is it true that you have had an affair with P’Lod for the past 6 months?  And how does your husband, Bill, feel about this?

Hillary Clinton A: I don’t believe that personal matter should be talked about in an interview. Technically, It does not even matter in a situation like this. The presidential election is not for me it is for the people. We should not talk about any personal matters. Why are you even asking me this? This is about Phill, my husband! I mean, Bill my husband! This is private information!

Global Daily Hotwire Q: Anyways, is it true that P’Lod is working for the Russians?

Hillary Clinton A: It is not true.  P’Lod is a true American citizen that works for the American people.

Global Daily Hotwire Q: Could you be bias because of the relationship you had with him?

Hillary Clinton A: As I said, personal matters should not be discussed throughout this interview, I refuse to discuss any more personal matters. That is final.

Hillary’s new running MATE by Helena Ligthart, Adalyn Raney, Miriam Shteyman

Hillary’s new running mate has shocked the entire country, after Donald Trump’s final decision to have P’Lunka as his running mate, Hillary has decided to bring a new candidate into the race, P’Lod, who is now the her #1 choice.

Her decision has affected the number of votes for Clinton. Americans are loosing faith in her campaign because they think that having P’Lod as a running mate is unprofessional considering their past relationship.  The race has gotten more tense and awkward because of the cousin against cousin battle.  Although P’Lod and P’Lunka are American citizens they do have a Russian background, making people suspect that they could be dangerous running in office. Other candidates that were considered for the job think that it is unfair that P’Lod can join so late in the race.

The public thinks that it is unprofessional for the two previous lovebirds to work together in such a professional environment like the white house. Is it dangerous for the two cousins to be competing? Will the two lovebirds reunite? Who will win the race? Find out next issue.

Nature by Miriam Shteyman

Nature is a delicate newborn baby,
it lives a while and then it dies.
Nature is a living, breathing thing
that feels and cries.
Should we treat as though it is a pet?
Train it like we train wolves to become dogs?
Or should we let it be
wild and free?
Let it live, let it grow and flourish like it is a
reckless beast.
Let it feel life on its fingertips.
Nature can never be treated like a
lion in a cage.
It should be a
free albatross soaring high in the sky,
feeling the wind on its feathers
and living its life to the fullest
like we all
should do.
Because nature,
after all
is a living, breathing
thing.

Trump closes in on an alien running mate! by Helena Ligthart, Adalyn Raney, Miriam Shteyman

Trump seeks new running mate in the 2016 election, and his top choices are: New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, former House speaker Newt Gingrich, and P’Lunka, the twice-removed cousin of P’Lod the alien, and Trump, after much deliberation, chooses P’Lunka.

According to Trump she is the best candidate for the job and “will make America great again!”

Not all are satisfied with his decision, for example Hillary Clinton thinks that his decision is inappropriate, considering her previous relationship with P’Lod.

The other senators that were considered for the position think that it is unconstitutional that Trump would choose an extraterrestrial for his running mate, they all are chose to sue him because of his actions even though P’Lunka was born in the United States.

The American people are unsure what the outcome will be at the final election, but approve for the most part of his running mate.

They think that having an extraterrestrial in office will help bond the two species and will avoid conflict in the years to come.

Summer by Hannah Efron, Helena Ligthart, Adalyn Raney, Miriam Shteyman

We count down the seconds before the bell rings and we can run out the door.
Summer is here and school is finally out.
The sun is hot and the air is humid.
Summer is here to stay.

Weeks pass and soon there are blinding lights in the sky.
They shine and shimmer and bring joy to the 4th of July.
We have picnics and watch the show, while sweet watermelon juice drips down our cheeks, like tears of joy.

White sand beaches and clear blue water are behind us as we sail into the vibrant sunset.
We dive into the cool water and feel the warm sand on our toes.
We lie on the beach and relax, feeling the warm rays of sun on our skin.
We feel a warm summer breeze as we build a sandy wedding cake.

Camps and sports drive the summer to an end.
We eat s’mores while the campfire slowly dies.

The smell of the fire and the sweet s’mores makes us think of next week when school starts, and the cycle begins again.
