Chapter 2
“Doubt it,” said Fireball feeling victorious. All the dragons felt triumphant because they had just won the battle. But the war was still to come.
“Good job everyone!” said Cosmo. “That little runt ran like a baby dragon!”
“But he said he’d be back,” said Kevalth. “So we should prepare for the next battle.”
“ He wanted our planet and still wants it. But we can’t let him take Helheim because it's our home and think about all of the innocent creatures that live on this planet that would lose their lives. So from this moment on… we are at war.” said Kevalth
“But he had an army that big and that might have only been a scouting party he will most likely be back with something way bigger than that knowing that we are here. So how are we going to defeat him?” Cosmo pointed out with a worried expression on his face.
“We could get some weapons,” suggested Fireball.
“You’re right,” said Cosmo. “But we’ll still need reinforcements.”
“But they are too far away currently they are at the other side of the universe they sent us here to be the new frontier dragons remember?”
“Well,” said Fireball. “Let’s make an army. We have thousands of mechanical parts here. We’ll make a robot army and stop the humans from ever trying to take our land. Even if it means killing the general Mike.
“How do we do that we don’t even know how to make any of this stuff into anything and besides we would just crush the parts before we tried holding them” said Kevalth.
“Then how do you suppose we stop Mike?” asked Cosmo. “The dragons can’t get to us, and we can't build an army.”
“We’ll have to do it lonesome,” replied Fireball.
“Agreed” said Kevalth.
“No there is another way, in ancient legends there are 6 items made for dragons they grant undesirable power even 1 object is enough to wipe out 3 times of those robots and 6 times those soldiers at the same time.” Cosmo replied
“Why didn’t you tell us about these objects before?” asked Fireball feeling a bit betrayed.
“Because it was the ancient cosmic dragons that created the items and if they got into the wrong hands it would mean the end of all the galaxies as we know it. So they decided to only tell certain cosmic dragons about them and make them swear not to tell anyone or else they would be killed unless it was an emergency. And I’m pretty sure this is an emergency” explained Cosmo.
“But why did they tell you about it?” asked Fireball.
“Because I am a descendent from the dragon who hid them.”said Cosmo .
“So then where are they?” asked Kevalth anxiously.
“They are on another planet maybe about 200 miles away from here” replied Cosmo.
“Ugh that’s way too far for us to fly there and the only way is to use Grimlore’s magic,” said Fireball.
“I may know some magic to fly us there, Grimlore may have taught me some magic so that I could go hunting underwater,”Kevalth said
“All right so Kevalth will allow us to breathe in the darkness and we can help by giving some of our energy to him,” Fireball said
“Once we get the relic we can come back and defeat the next soldiers that come although I do not know how to use it,” Cosmo said.
“We can figure it out when we get there,” Kevalth said. He used his magic that he learned to give the dragons air while in space the dragons arrived on the planet that Cosmo described.
“Alright now that we are here I’ll use my tracking skills to find the relic,” Kevalth said.
Kevalth leads the other 2 dragons to the place that is resonating energy.
“This place looks like an old temple,”Kevalth said.
“Woah I feel a lot of energy here” Fireball said.
“Like I said this relic is over powered,”Cosmo said.
The dragons went inside the old temple.
“Careful there might be traps inside that could hurt us more than that army of soldiers,”Cosmo said.
“It’s fine I’ll just shoot a fireball to disable all the traps,” Fireball said.
“I think we should let Fireball do this while we stand outside,” Kevalth said.
“Agreed,” Cosmo agreed.
As they stepped outside they heard arrows, rocks breaking wood, snapping and many other things as Fireball stepped outside they saw his face covered with arrows.
“What did I say?” Cosmo asked a little annoyed.
“Hey at least I burned the half of arrows and traps,” said Fireball.
“He’ll never learn wont he?” Kevalth asked.
“Yep” Cosmo said.
After the dragons took out Fireball’s face arrows they stepped inside they saw tons of burn marks.
“See I burned all of it,” Fireball said.
“Good,” Cosmo said.
As they reached the end of the tunnel in the temple they saw a ravine and on the other side a entrance of light.
Cosmo said “Don’t fly over there are most likely traps like that tunnel.”
“Then what do we do now?”Kevalth asked.
“I want you to shoot some of your spikes straight at the tunnel across the ravine” Cosmo said.
Kevalth shot his spikes straight at the tunnel ahead and indeed it was filled with traps spiked logs rained down and boulders and they even saw some arrows lit on fire
“That was definitely overkill” Fireball said. “ C’mon, let’s go.”
They dragons flew over the ravine to the other side.
“Finally no more traps,” said Fireball relieved.
“But now we have a huge maze by the looks of it,” Kevalth added.
“How is that better?” asked Fireball.
“Fireball just blow up the place,” pleaded Cosmo. “We don’t have time.”
Fireball shot 10 fireballs straight at the walls.“What the,” he said. “Nothing happened.”
“Let me try,” said Cosmo. Cosmo shoots out his disintegration beam destroying the wall.
“Well that drained half of my energy but at least it took down the wall,” said Cosmo. “Let’s go!”
The dragons move into the next tunnel where there is a giant stone man asleep. “We come in peace stone person” said Kevalth.
The stone person awoke.
“Awww great job you made him wake up,” said Fireball.
The stone man starts attacking without warning. “See this is why we don’t wake up grumpy stone men in temples,” sais Cosmo.
“I’m sorry?” said Kevalth. He turned invisible and sneaked up behind the stone man and brought him down shattering him into pieces.
“At least you made up for what you did,” said Fireball.
They came into the next room where they saw pictures of dragons specifically 3 dragons they kinda looked like them. A dark dragon a reddish orange dragon and a greenish dragon. The pictures showed them fighting small things it almost looked humans. In the center of the round room they saw a staff embedded in the rock pedestal.
“Ooo I call dibs it’s mine!” Fireball said while running over to the center.
Fireball picked up the staff and magically it magically retracted into a ball and flew over onto Fireball’s tail attaching itself almost like it was alive.
“Woah that was cool” Fireball said.
“Well now it’s yours and I believe this is called the Multi Staff it can turn into a staff or a sphere and it is pretty convenient fitting on your tail” said Cosmo
“What magic can it do? It’s so cool! And it has a fiery outline!”Fireball said enthusiastically.
“It can also transform into 3 settings,” said Cosmo.
“It sounds too convenient to be true,” said Kevalth. “I mean it’s almost like it was destined to Fireball. He just called dibs on it.”
“Well,” started Fireball. “Destined or not, let’s find the next relic.”
