(Pretending to play with a lightsaber. Make lightsaber sound)

NICKY
(Walks into room)

Alex, what are doing?

ALEX

I’m playing Star Wars- what else?

NICKY

I’m just saying you look silly waving a long stick! But really long. Not like Harry Potter. We should play that! And besides, I need to practice my charms. I’m turning 11 in 10 days, so I might get my acceptance letter to Hogwarts!

ALEX

Why should we play a dumb thing like that? What’s so get about Harry Potter anyways?

NICKY

(Gasp) How dare you! Harry Potter is amazing! Besides, books are better than movies.

ALEX

Anyways, at least our characters don’t need special protection from an old, white beared, cooky man.

NICKY

Yeah, you have protection from a crazy green short guy who speaks nonsense!

ALEX

How dare you offend YODA!!!

(Snap dramatically)

NICKY
Well how dare you offend Dumbledore!

This deserves a rap battle!

ALEX

(Start rapping)

Star Wars is better, no arguin’ with that.

Harry Potter’s helpless and Hagrid is just fat.

NICKY

I’ll give you some proof that HP is the best,

Luke is a snob, thinking he’s better than the rest.

ALEX

Jedis and the empire with action goloure.

HP has some cooky guy called Dum-ble-dore.

NICKY
J. K. Rowling had us excited, page after page.

Sure, Star Wars is ok but Harry Potter’s all the rage!

ALEX

Star Wars has droids and robots that destroy.

Harry only has his wand and a broomstick toy.

NICKY

Well at least HP is creative, Dumbledore’s Army, Order of the Phoenix, and Death Eaters,

Star Wars is plain boring, Light side, dark side, You guys are just plain cheaters!

ALEX

Nicky, you’re right, Star wars is just boring

Well except for the  nonstop action that keeps you from snoring.

NICKY

We have time turners, and awesome spells,

Star Wars has uh…..

ALEX

Yeah- you stutter. Because… because, Harry Potter… um…

NICKY

Alex, let’s make an agreement. Both are great.

BOTH

ALEX

So, do you want to go play Percy Jackson outside?

NICKY

Why do Percy Jackson when we can play Hunger Games?
